On Tuesday morning, Disney invited me to a high tea fit for a princess in celebration of the Megan Hess x Disney collaboration with Hallmark cards.
The room was in full bloom at The Stables Of Como, with flower petals scattered all over the table and a setting complete with regal-like gold dinner sets.
Megan Hess is an Australian born, internationally renowned fashion illustrator, whose extensive list of clients includes Prada, Dior, Tiffany & Co., Michelle Obama and Vogue to name a few. Megan’s signature style has appeared everywhere from the bottom of luxury swimming pools in Dubai to the walls of some of the most desired fashion houses around the world.
The inspiring afternoon Q&A with Megan left us in awe of her delightful presence as we listened about her favourite princess (Cinderella),her journey and what inspired her creating her collaboration.
Having grown up with the Cinderella story, she loved everything about it, from the carriage to the glass slipper.
Inspired by this she created an interpretation of the Disney dresses, adding a sprinkle of couture on the real-life princess gowns.

Megan had always wanted to illustrate, her big break came when she was on the urge of giving up. She was creating a project at the time that just wasn't true to her heart.
During that same night, in the middle of the night, she had received an email to illustrate the Sex and the City book.
She appreciated that opportunity immensely and since her career kicked off and she never looked back.
The collection is available from Hallmark independent newsagents and speciality retailers, and Target stores nationally from September 2016.
Special thanks to Disney for having me
