How long does it take to complete a jacket?
The exhibition is dazzling and beautiful and is one not to be missed. Experience it for yourself and enter The House Of Dior.
ACMI: 5 good reasons to why you need to check out Wallace & Gromit and Friends: The Magic of Aardman.
Wallace & Gromit and Friends: The Magic of Aardman.
Prepare yourself to be amazed and walk into the life of Wallace & Gromit. ACMI brings a fantastic new Melbourne Winter Masterpiece to the collection, and have added it to the list of their well known exhibitions that they hold each winter. The last one I attended was the world of Martin Scorsese, and this year I experienced and enjoyed the magical world of Aardman, one of the world’s most successful animation studios and the creative force behind beloved film and television such as Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run.
I had the honour of meeting the Aardman Animations founders, Creative Director Peter Lord and Executive Chairman
David Sproxton. They were absolutely pleasant, and I thanked them for giving me such excitement during my childhood watching these characters on the telly.
Here are my top 5 reasons why you need to check out the exhibition if you're in Melbourne town.
1) You'll be able to witness ORIGINAL pieces of artwork, including more than 50 iconic set pieces such as the spectacular 5-metre tall
ship from The Pirates! It's so cool, I could have literally spent hours looking at the sets and admiring each little object!
2) There are bits of each show being played around the exhibition next to the set pieces, you'll be able to get a real feel of what it all looks like in action.
3) It's exciting for all ages, the world comes alive in miniatures! You'll get a great understanding of what these creatives do!
4) Shaun the sheep will be there, smiling back at you. ;)
5) After you've experienced the whole exhibition, towards the back is an activity space with colourful modelling clay for inspired visitors to create their very own characters. I made this little guy!
So, what are you waiting for? Rug up, have a squizz at the exhibition and finish it off with a warm bowl of soup at the local ACMI Cafe & Bar.

Shu Uemura's Girls Night Out!
Myself & HiJessicaAnne!
The other week I had the pleasure of attending a very fun and exciting event, the Shu Uemura's Girls Night Out!
Keeping on Shu theme, the 50th anniversary of cleaning oil was held at the Shu Restaurant in Collingwood, Melbourne.
When I first arrived I was greeted by a row of neon lights, heading towards the entrance of the event. Upon entrance, we were given candy cocktails which had fairy floss and all sorts inside!
Inside the place was colourful throughout and of course the classic Shu Uemura Bear Qee was everywhere at every inch of the restaurant! There was also a makeup touch up station, which I was treated to a little love heart on the corner of my face!
The makeup artists were so talented! If you're ever near a concession shop make sure to see them, those girls are amazing makeup artists!
During the night there was also a Taiko performance. Aka Japanese drums. We danced the night away whilst the Dj played our favourite tunes and nibbled on cupcakes whilst catching up with all my favourite beauty bloggers!
Thanks for having me, Shu Uemura!
Aladdin The Musical
If there's going to be one Broadway musical on your list to see, then it has to be Aladdin. Your childhood memories will come flooding back, and you'll be taken to a whole new world, literally. Aladdin’s journey sweeps audiences into an exotic world of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance.
The world of Disney comes to life and throughout you'll be whisked away, captured by the performance. You'll laugh at some hilarious moments, fall in love watching some unforgettable magical theatrical pieces and clapping throughout the play.
I was mesmerised by not only the skill of dance and singing but, the costume design. The Australian production boasts a cast of 34 and a staggering 337 glittering costumes, which feature 1,225 different fabrics, 712 different styles of beads and almost 500,000 Swarovski crystals used in the costumes alone designed by the talented Gregg Barnes.
