Kangan Institute has collaborated with Australian Red Cross and Melbourne rock band Stonefield on an exciting fashion journey. They'll be rocking a performance in students unique upcycled pieces for an unforgettable performance of a sustainable fashion show, Ecothreads, on 27 August. And it doesn’t stop there, all proceeds from the event will go to the Red Cross.
It’s part of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, the event will feature a fashion runway show presenting up-cycled outfits made by Kangan Institute’s fashion students. The outfits were re-designed, re-styled and up-cycled using donated garments from Red Cross Shops that were unsaleable and destined for disposal. The band’s pieces were exclusively designed using 3D body scanning technology available at Kangan Institute.
