Thank you PANDORA for an exciting morning.
VAMFF 2017: Camilla and Marc Grand Showcase.
Lights dimmed as the Camilla & Marc runway was about to commence. A light show worthy of VAMFF beamed across the interior of The Royal Exhibition Building, settling as all eyes focused on the phenomenal 21 piece orchestra.
The strings played a strong entrancing music, creating a memorable experience as the show began. It was a truly unforgettable entrance as the models commenced their mission down the 9 meter, dusty pink carpeted runway.
The evening provided us with nothing but the superb quality of modern day luxe, the collection exuding a moody vibe. With strong feminine silhouettes, mixed with their signature military style blazers, sung down the runway.
Along with gentle floral pieces and lush laces, came rich greens and mellow whites. Shirt layering with dress shirts and casual tees; and power-dressing in the form of boxy silhouettes, not to mention slinky blouses and dresses with just the right amount of drape and flow - everything was at play.

DIESEL BAD LAUNCH MELBOURNE
Diesel Boutique played host to one of Melbourne's hottest parties at their Chapel Street Boutique recently. Celebrating in style with the launch of their new male fragrance Diesel BAD.
The beautiful venue was set-up in perfect alignment with the new fragrance; dimmed lights, a Ducati motorbike and a delightful blend of smells combining Diesel Bad & Leather jackets.
Fashion media, influencers and friends gathered bringing the event to life celebrating the much-anticipated fragrance. With quirky signs for guests to strike a pose in and mouth-watering refreshments including a selection of Mistwood Gins alongside the tasty Japanese brew, Asahi. The night was a success as tunes played by DJ Tahma being bad in all the right ways.
VAMFF 2017: Stonnington High Tea
The annual City of Stonnington High Tea, supported by the Australian Women’s Weekly celebrated Australian designers in style. Location for the morning was inside the elegant Malvern Town Hall. Setting the vibe of a European style runway show right here in Melbourne.
The runway shows were split into two segments with guest speakers on after each show. One speaker, I found particularly memorable was Bel from Once Was, who described her Autumn/Winter collection as influenced by her father.
Once Was took a spin on the classic essential shirt, mixing it up with detailed flared and ruffle sleeves, which we all agreed on the table we needed every shirt from the collection. There were also stunning leather pieces from the collection that looked buttery soft on the models as they paraded down the runway in leather luxe skirts, dresses and jackets inspiring us and giving us a new reason to layer with our coats this winter. My absolute favourite outfit from the collection was a shearling jacket that was utter perfection. Paired with leather pants, the outfit left me dreaming of the places I’d go wearing it.
I also found out about a few new brands on the day, DIDDA, Luxe Deluxe and Lisa Barron, and saw old favourites such as Feathers, Megan Park, Leona Edmiston and Alannah Hill.
