Recently foxes I had the opportunity to fly to Sydney and be a part of Esprit's new winter collection and be the face of their UN Women campaign. UN Women is short for The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
It was such an honour to be part of this campaign. Such a wonderful and exciting experience, one I'll never forget that I had the opportunity to be part of.
I arrived at the airport around 7 am, I had to board my plane at 7.30am, so this didn't leave me too much time to sip on my coffee and admire a few fashion magazines. As I boarded the plane, I checked my phone as per usual, while scrolling on Instagram, I had noticed a fellow blogger's Instagram story photo on the plane with #esprit. I quickly messaged her saying... "Are you going to the campaign too?" She quickly replied and said "YES!" Turns out, we were on the same flight! We didn't know we were picked to be part of the campaign together, let alone the same exact flight!
We both chatted on the flight until the plane landed. Once we were in Sydney, we met up with another fashion blogger. We all set off into a taxi en route to the studio. It was 40 degrees, but this didn't stop us from shooting their new winter collection.
When we arrived at the studio, there were another two bloggers. One from Sydney, and another from Canberra. We were all really excited to meet one another and share the same passion for fashion and charity. We all quickly started picking out our outfits of choice to style and chatted amongst ourselves.
After hair and makeup were done, we were ready to be photographed! During our shoot we all celebrated together and had fun, the air machine was in action too. The whole day was full of laughs, giggles and sharing our styling ideas together.
We were then treated to lunch our food was prepared by a Sydney famous sushi chef. You can only be catered by her on written request or referred by someone else, and you have to follow her simple rules of no food wastage. I thought it was so fascinating, that doesn't happen here in Melbourne. It made me think how Sydney is like a mini New York!
Soon after we wrapped up around 5 pm, we were thanked and gifted with a cute goodie bag and I went back into a taxi to fly back home.
As I sat on my 8 pm flight. I couldn't help to reflect and appreciate such an amazing opportunity and experience, one I'll never forget.
Thank you for having me Esprit.
