I adore a fabulous high tea, and I’ve found the best one in Melbourne town!
Every Saturday afternoon there is a beautiful high tea on, it’s located at top of Collins is “Sofitel Melbourne on Collins” and inside the beautiful hotel is their beautiful décor restaurant ‘Sofi’s’
Experiencing the lavished high tea at The Sofitel Saturday afternoon was such a delight, but a treasured moment I shared with my mum, a moment kept for life.
Plus....Saturday afternoons are meant to be spent sipping on tea and biting into vanilla crème Brulee!
Starting your high tea with a glass of bubbly, There is a buffet selection of Sweets and savoury, and a chocolate fountain!!!! I was in complete and utter food paradise.
The sandwiches were the best sandwiches I have ever eaten (sorry mum) and the cakes were a dream! They offer Unlimited tea of your choice, having a selection of tea for you to pick. We went with the o'l traditional English breakfast.
Did I mention it’s a buffet? Yes, that means you can go for seconds or thirds! But trust me, by the time you’re done you’ll be so full!
We sat directly by the beautiful sunny entrance of the Sofitel, and whilst you dine you listen to the sweet tunes of the pianist play.
Mum and I relaxed and chatted about fashion and food.
Each bite we took melted in our mouth, my favourites were the turkey and brie pin rolls… I think I ate about 10 of them! Ahh take me back!
Spoiler Alert: All cakes tasted AMAZING but you really need to try this yourself, the pictures will just make you drool over your keyboard!
Oh and did I mention the freshly cooked crepes prepared, of course naturally I went to town with all the toppings… I was spoilt for choice!
After a delightful afternoon, Mum and I set off to the city for a little shoe shop!
The Sofitel on Collins is such a luxe beautiful environment, and high tea on a Saturday is such a delight. I highly recommended you try it, especially if you’re thinking of treating someone special.
