Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival: Mentorship Cultural Program. 2016

Have you ever dreamt of becoming a fashion writer? But unsure how to approach the idea of your dreams.
Well have I got fantastic news for you! Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival is currently seeking applications from aspiring fashion writers (like yourself! YES YOU) to participate in a mentorship by a leading industry figure as a part of next year's Cultural Program.
What a fantastic way to kick start your fashion writing career and to get your paw in the door foxes! and don't feel afraid to enter! If you don't then you'll end up regretting it. Dreams do come true, and sometimes you have to believe in yourself and don't feel dishearten by listening to others saying " It could never happen" or "HEAPS of people would be applying" forget all that and JUST DO IT!
Mentors will offer a valuable opportunity for learning and development as well as the opportunity for participants to have their work published in their highly respected print or online publications. The mentors include:

Laura Bannister, Editor in Chief, Museum
Mitchell Oakley Smith, Manuscriptdaily.com
What a fantastic list of mentors… all so unique and wise in different ways with such experience and knowledge about the industry.
Applications are to be submitted through http://www.vamff.com.au/participate.html and the Festival is looking for applicants that demonstrate a unique point of view, strong writing style and a potential to contribute to the future growth of the industry.
